RSTWIII Invests Additional $5 million in Fitness Holdings Worldwide, Inc.  

January 3, 2001- RSTW Partners III, L.P. (“RSTWIII”) invested an additional $5.0 million of common stock in Fitness Holdings Worldwide, Inc. (“Fitness”), increasing its current investment of $30.0 million to $35.0 million.   The $5.0 million investment is part of a $30 million equity infusion, the proceeds of which will be used to fuel Fitness’s continued growth in 2001.

Fitness is a leading global health and fitness company and one of the fastest growing fitness center chains in the world.  The Company operates the largest health and fitness club chain in the world, with 428 clubs worldwide.    The Company operates in the U.S. under the brand names  “24 Hour Fitness” and “Q Clubs”.  The Company also operates in Asia (primarily Hong Kong and Singapore) and Europe.  FHW has a worldwide membership base of over 2.4 million members.
